Reimagining a Las Vegas Icon
The transformation of the former Hard Rock Hotel & Casino into Virgin Hotels Las Vegas called for more than a new name. The extensive redevelopment introduced a reimagined resort experience spanning accommodations, dining, entertainment, gaming and expansive poolside spaces.
Pineapple Audio served as an AV design consultant and integrator for the project, helping establish the audio infrastructure behind the new experience. For a hospitality brand with deep ties to music and entertainment, sound needed to become an integral part of the property's new identity while performing reliably across a large and complex resort environment.
THE DESIGN
Built for a New Era
Transforming an established Las Vegas resort presented a very different challenge from designing audio for a single restaurant or venue. The system needed to support multiple hospitality and entertainment environments while delivering a cohesive experience throughout the property.
Pineapple Audio designed and integrated a system incorporating JBL loudspeakers, Crown amplification and Q-SYS control, providing the flexibility and performance required across the resort. The scope also extended into the property's new pool and entertainment environments, where music plays an even more prominent role in shaping the guest experience.

A New Sound for a Famous Address
The completed integration helped give a property already known for its musical history a new guest experience under the Virgin Hotels name — using sound to connect hospitality, entertainment and the energy expected from a Las Vegas destination.
