Raising the Standard for Meetings and Events
Grand Hyatt San Antonio River Walk is a 1,003-room convention hotel at 600 E. Market St., adjacent to the Henry B. González Convention Center and offering more than 115,000 square feet of meeting and event space.
As a Hyatt-approved AV vendor and author of Hyatt’s brand-wide AV design standards, Pineapple Audio was brought in when aging control and audio systems across the property’s meeting and event spaces began to fail. The resulting capital improvement project was designed to modernize the hotel’s AV infrastructure while improving reliability, functionality and day-to-day control.
THE DESIGN
A Modern AV Foundation
For a convention hotel of this scale, reliable technology is fundamental to the guest and event experience. Meeting rooms, ballrooms and hospitality spaces need systems that are flexible enough for different events while remaining straightforward for operators to control.
Pineapple Audio replaced outdated equipment with a modern AV platform centered on Q-SYS control, Bose loudspeakers and Pineapple Audio custom speaker solutions. The upgraded system gives the property improved performance and control across its meeting, event and food-and-beverage environments.
